Hey Y'all..........Look what I can do!!

Well, the beginning of the end is here. It's all down hill from here on out! Rachel can sit all on her own now. So, I've been thinking back about the boys. It seems to me both boys were sitting up right around six months which puts Rachel about a month behind. On the other hand, the boys didn't crawl until a good eight months and I'm pretty sure Rachel's only got another week or two before we're all in trouble!! She's already started rocking on her knees (pictures to come tomorrow) and she even made two separate army crawl attempts today. Yes, I'm afraid it's only a matter of time. A very short amount of time!

Once again, Trey takes advantage of Rachel's photo op
*Note the cute bug pajama bottoms that I made all by myself!*

By the time Trey was gone, Kyler wanted in on the action, too.

They put together this little pose by themselves. I thought it was too cute not to share!

Rachel is soooo big!

So, my mom was watching Rachel the other day. When she watches my kids she is kind enough to clean up my house a little for me. Unfortunately, the other day she discovered why it is that I've pretty much given up attempting to do this while my kids are awake. Trey was having a piece of pizza for lunch which he decided to eat in the living room. My mom was around the corner in the kitchen when she hears Trey holler,

"She's got my pizza!"

And what a great Grandma she is, she stopped to take a picture. And you had better believe Rachel was not at all impressed when Grandma took it away. She's gonna have to wait a few more months before she gets anymore pizza of her own. She already wants to eat what everyone else has. I'm guessing she's gonna be like Kyler and only eat baby food for another month or so. She wants to do it all by herself!

Kyler the Observant One!

So, I've currently given up on posting beach pictures. I might just end up making a slide show. I can't really think of enough things that I want to say about it. It was fun, but a lot of family time. I can only keep my mouth shut for so long and five days was definitely pushing it. Anyways, so on to the reason I'm posting today. For most of you that know me, you know that unfortunately most of the time my house looks like this.....
Tidiness has never ever been my strong suit. Though I do have occasions on which I make attempts. For instance the other day I asked the boys to help me pick up some of their toys. The response from Kyler came without missing a beat, "Who's coming over, mom?" I thought I was going to fall over laughing. I've been know to say that if you want to come over to see me, then come on over. If you want to see my house, you might want to make an appointment. However, evidently I do clean for people to come over because Kyler doesn't seem to think there is any other reason to do so. There is something so funny about the way Kyler says things. I decided it's because he is so small, to which LeRoy responded, "Yeah, you wouldn't think it was funny at all if I said it!" Boy, has he got that right!!

Trey the comedian

I used to say (back when Trey was two) that I was going to make a book entitled "Trey's quote of the day". He used to say the funniest things! I'd call my mom daily with things. Unfortunately being the slacker mom that I never did and of course I can't remember but a few of his funny little quotes now. However, Trey still continues to make me laugh and I'm gonna try to start documenting them here if no where else. So, today we are watching Alvin and the Chipmunks for the millionth time when Trey says,

"Hey Mom, you can be Dave if you want!"

"Dave? I can't be Dave, he's a boy."

"Okay, well then you can be....*long pause*....Dave's 'ex-mate'"

*Uncontrolled laughter by the Mom*

"Really Mom, her name's Claire and she's a girl."

*More uncontrolled laughter still thinking being an ex-mate*

Oh, the things they pick up on, eh? I love life with my kids. They totally keep me rolling! I often think about what life was before children and I know there were things that I enjoyed about it, but golly it must have been sooooo boring! Kids are great, if only for entertainment purposes!

Almost to the beach....

Before we went to the beach last week we stopped at my brother's house. It was the usual Seattle drizzle. So light in fact that they boys didn't really get wet, the rain drops just kind of balled up in their hair. They had so much fun playing outside together. Trey went with Grandma and Grandpa while Kyler and Xander played in the back yard. Even though Trey wasn't there, I'm reminded of how glad I am that they can be such good buddies. Of course, we have our fair share of fights, but they also love to play together. I'm glad they'll get to grow up together!

"Okay, Xander, first you fill it...
then you drink, spit and repeat! I thought it was so funny how Xander just watched Kyler's every move and Kyler just loved being the one in charge for a change!

Ring around the rosies, pocket full of posies (anyone else ever think of how morbid this is?)

Ashes, ashes we all fall down!
Well, except Trey who wasn't gonna sit down on wet grass!

Kylerism?

"Hey Mom, do you want to play baseball with this football?"

"If only you knew the irony in that, son. Sure, I would love to play baseball with that football!"
